Leonardo has an active research program with the University of Hawaii Institute for Astronomy and NASA to operate LmAPDs at the photon flux levels predicted for instrumentation on the 30 m class telescopes and future space telescopes. This paper provides an update on the technology and the status of our developments and collaborations.
