Mission Products
Delivering US-Optimized Defense Capabilities for Mission Success
Mission Products provides advanced products, capabilities, and services that optimize future combat operations requiring tactical assets and logistics support in Anti‑Access/Area‑Denial (A2AD) environments. Within Leonardo Electronics US Inc., this dedicated business line focuses on the mission priorities of US defense customers. It leverages capabilities across Leonardo — both domestic and international — to expand our offerings for the US market, especially in segments that demand local development, security, and support.
Rather than presenting a catalog of stand‑alone systems, our team frames each capability around the operational problems it solves. The value proposition lies at the intersection of mission needs requiring a US-based security infrastructure, specific operational demands, and compliance with Buy America requirements. At Mission Products, we help defense organizations understand how to employ our technology in real-world operations, bridging the gap between product delivery and mission execution while positioning Leonardo solutions as mission enablers rather than isolated technical offerings.
By emphasizing mission priorities, operational context, and end‑user outcomes, Mission Products bridges the gap between product delivery and real‑world application, positioning Leonardo solutions as mission enablers rather than isolated technical offerings. This mission‑centric posture reflects a deep understanding of what warfighters must achieve in contested battlespaces and opens the door to conversations about how Leonardo’s integrated suite of capabilities can directly support their operational needs.
Drone Warfare
Mission Products integrates advanced technologies from Leonardo’s international partners and adapts them through a US‑based engineering and security infrastructure to deliver mission‑ready electronic warfare solutions. These capabilities enhance modern combat strategies and tactics by enabling more effective Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions across contested environments. Our capabilities and focus areas include counter-UAS, collaborative combat aircraft, and other unmanned systems operating in highly contested airspace.
Contested Logistics
Combating adversary efforts to disrupt logistics across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains is a core priority for Mission Products. Our solutions strengthen mission readiness and sustain operational availability in contested, difficult environments, ensuring critical assets and supplies reach the point of need.
System Integration Lab - SIL
The System Integration Lab (SIL) provides an agile environment allowing for rapid insertion of new capabilities into a Software and Hardware In-The-Loop simulation environment. The SIL has served as an immersive hardware and software verification environment for developing and sustaining the Apache Aircraft Gateway Processor (AGP), providing a dual Apache aircraft emulation environment that replicates cockpit displays, mission processors, and ASE sensor systems to simulate threats and evaluate automatic or pilot‑directed responses. It provides a Windows‑based platform for systems and software engineering, enabling development, integration, testing, demonstration, and training for new AGP software and sensors in an aircraft‑representative setting.
