LEI-Laser Solutions continues to expand it capabilities and products and is seeking a strong candidate to lead the engineering of new products and technology. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) for LEI-Laser Solutions, the VP of Engineering will lead a team of talented functional managers and engineers in developing the next generation of products and technology to support the growth objectives of the organization.
Lead, manage and direct the engineering organization at LEI-Laser Solutions division. Ensure successful execution of product and technology development programs to meet LEI market demands and growth objectives. Develop and maintain systems and controls to ensure compliance with financial and quality standards. In conjunction with the LEI CTO, participate in the development of long-term strategic product and technology roadmaps and successfully implement the LEI-Laser Solutions portions of the roadmaps
Location: Tucson, AZ
Master’s or Ph.D. in EE, Physics, Materials Engineering or related field. A minimum of 10 years experience in engineering management in the field of semiconductor optical devices. Track record in technology development for fabrication of semiconductor based optical devices. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 2-5 year time span. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Problem analysis and problem resolution at the strategic and functional level. Technical skills in engineering management, quality assurance and costing.
