Training Specialist

Responsible for development and facilitation of the training program for manufacturing of semiconductor diodes manufactured in controlled cleanroom environment. Continually improve and update training practices and monitor compliance within the work environment. Proactively identify opportunities to utilize learning to enhance business processes, optimize performance and increase capabilities in the manufacturing area.

  • Collaborate with functional area representatives, subject matter experts (SMEs), and cross-functional teams to identify training needs. Provide guidance and expertise in the assessment of training needs, the design of appropriate training and the measurement of training effectiveness.
  • Qualify production line personnel as On-the-Job trainers and deliver other required training, as assigned.
  • Provide classroom instructional training for new employees, utilizing both written and video-based materials. 
  • Provide on-the-job-specific training instruction for new employees on the production floor in order to shorten the training cycles at the site level.  Assess new employee’s ability to acquire job knowledge and apply it.
  • Assist in developing training programs or methods of training, prepare updates to current programs, and revise instructional material documents based on current requirements and training on safety, job duties, etc.  Publicize these documents as deemed necessary to new employees.


High school diploma or GED equivalency required; some college preferred. At least five years prior work in manufacturing environment. Good oral, written, presentation, interpersonal communication, and team facilitation skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees including management. Ability to present information accurately and effectively to diverse audiences. Ability to anticipate problem areas and implement effective solutions before problems occurs. Working knowledge of safety disciplines, Company specific policies and procedures, and common industrial practices. Proficient using a PC to include Microsoft Office Suite and other department specific hardware, software, and equipment. 10,000 class clean room environment. Must wear bunny suit with face mask, head mask and gloves when working in the clean room.
