Shipping & Receiving Clerk

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks in support of shipping and receiving for Leonardo affiliate companies. They will be responsible for receiving goods, performing product verification and shipping to Europe and UK Leonardo affiliates.   They will be required to safely lift heavy items and operates a forklift. They will be required to prepare and maintain accurate records for all transactions in this role. They will be responsible for ensuring that all exported items are in accordance with US Government requirements.

  • Responsible for the prompt booking in of incoming shipments, verifying count, part number, revisions, description, and appropriate documentation.
  • Handles transfer of goods from receiving to physical inventory locations.
  • Liaises with Compliance, Quality Assurance, Program Management, Purchasing and Carriers to ensure the timely delivery/pick up of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Reviews and files complete shipping documents received from freight forwarders to ensure goods have been shipped as directed by LEI.
  • Ensures dangerous goods shipments are handled correctly by the freight forwarders and certifications and training records of agents re-packaging the shipment is obtained and included in the packet returned to LEI.
  • May operate hand-truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work areas.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

  • Microsoft Office Suite skills are required.
  • Knowledge of TIPQA preferred.
