Marketing Operations Specialist

The Leonardo Electronics US Inc (LE-US) Marketing Operations Specialist is responsible for assisting in compiling, tracking, reporting, and analysis of the LE-US business development activities, Integrated Business Plan, and the opportunity pipeline. The Marketing Operations Specialist helps the business development team maintain internal and external relationships so that our customers will view Leonardo as their preferred supplier and continue using Leonardo products and service for their export markets. The Marketing Operations Specialist will serve as the enabler between the EVP of Business Development and all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assist maintaining the company’s 5-year integrated business plan (IBP), track opportunities, and maintain the forecast-to-budget within the company’s pipeline 
  • Compile and publish the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Business Development reports / statuses, to include Upside/Downside charts, dashboards, country market-entry plans, etc.
  • Participate in Business Development meetings to discuss sales and marketing needs as a member of the Business Development team
  • Assist analyzing orders and develop monthly presentations in support of monthly management meetings and board of director meetings
  • Effectively work with members of Leonardo group companies located in the United Kingdom and Italy
  • Support and conduct competitive analysis research of our products and customer base
  • Aid the Business Development team on various tasks, assignments, and projects 
  • Develop a working knowledge of Leonardo’s products, services, and organizational charters
  • Develop a working knowledge of the US DoD, International militaries, and industry partner procurement processes
  • Lead the coordination of trade show logistics by developing an annual company tradeshow planner, the Marketing and Communications calendar, registering for booth space and industry days, set up and teardown of company booth space, manage the shipping and receiving of product models and equipment, and manage meeting schedules of the business development and leadership teams
  • Assist in content development for various media platforms and the company website


  • Excellent interpersonal communicational skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds, training, and experience
  • Must be creative, resourceful, a problem solver, and a self -starter
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Power-Point, and Word)
  • Good verbal, written communication, and public speaking skills
  • High organizational skills with the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines
  • Good presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse, remotely based, team environment 
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Business Administration or Operations or 3-5 years of equivalent experience
  • Military experience a plus
  • Customer Resource Management (CRM) experience a plus
  • Ability to obtain and retain a US Security Clearance
