Description

Leonardo Electronics US Inc. is seeking a Contracts Administrator who is a motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment. Under limited supervision, this contract professional is responsible for activities that span the entire contract life-cycle. This role reports to the Director, Contracts and Legal. Job location is in Tucson, AZ.

Duties

  • Experience negotiating complex terms and conditions
  • Successful track record of managing a variety of contract types, interfacing with internal customers, other functional support staff, and suppliers
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Able to work independently, establish priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Evaluate company proposal responses
  • Negotiate pricing and terms/conditions with customers
  • Administer contracts of various types and complexity
  • Primarily support federal programs
  • Identify and resolve moderate issues and problems on assigned contracts and make recommendations to management
  • Perform contract close-out activities
  • Analyze risks and identify risk mitigations
  • Regularly interact with program management, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a role involving the administration of government contracts or compliance activities
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of US Government contract regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
  • Ability to identify and assess the impact of regulatory changes on the business
  • BA or BS degree
  • Must be U. S. Citizen

  • Experience with working in a corporate environment
  • Experience with training development and presentation
  • Experience in corresponding and negotiating with DoD and Civilian federal agencies
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, business judgment, and problem-solving
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, including senior leadership
  • Possession of business analysis and risk management skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
