Leonardo Electronics US to Present on Lidar Adoption at XPONENTIAL

Leonardo Electronics US will have the opportunity to present at this year’s AUVSI XPONENTIAL in Dallas, Texas May 8-11. The presentation is titled, “Increasing performance and reducing costs for laser sources in lidar.”

AUVSI XPONENTIAL hosts the largest global community of leaders in drones, intelligent robotics and unmanned systems. We will share insights from our experience in developing custom laser diodes for lidar products for autonomous vehicles. Our account manager for automotive lidar, will discuss technology that can help companies overcome cost, size and supply limitations for widespread lidar adoption.

The presentation, “Increasing performance and reducing costs for laser sources in lidar,” will be delivered on May 9 at 1:30 p.m. It will take place in Room C144/145. The presentation will be one of three taking place during the Sense and Avoid Technical Track at XPONENTIAL. These presentations will focus on unmanned vehicles and lidar technology.

“Lidar can substantially improve safety, but unit costs are still too high,” Leonardo Electronics US representative said. “XPONENTIAL offers a great opportunity to share tech approaches that can help automotive companies overcome scalability barriers for laser sources.”
