Account Manager

The Leonardo Electronics US Inc (LE-US) Account Manager (LE-US AM) is responsible for the management of sales and relationships with new and existing Export / Platform Integrators (customers). The LE-US AM maintains customer relationships so that those customers will view Leonardo as their preferred supplier and continue using LMW products and service for their export markets. AMs serve as the interface between the Integrator and the Leonardo company. AMs are also tasked with creating additional accounts with new Export / Platform Integrators and Maintenance - Repair - Overhaul (MRO) organizations. The AM serves to understand the Integrator / MRO demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales for Leonardo as a result.  An Export / Platform Integrator may be assigned to remain with the AM throughout the duration of an agreement, while LE-US Capture Managers are assigned on a per-capture basis.

Duties

  • Possess a knowledge of the LE-US, UK, and Italian Leonardo portfolio of products / capabilities and experience working with Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines as well as DoD Agencies. 
  • Expand LE-US' Export / Platform Integrator and MRO market by: Selling new or additional products or services to current buyers; and/or Finding additional buyers within the existing customer location; and/or Selling additional customer locations. 
  • Responsible for aspects of demand creation, co-selling, forecasting, sales management, training, and education to Integrator / MRO. 
  • Assists in the development of Export / Platform Integrator and MRO account plans for all assigned customers by leading a joint company/customer planning process that identifies relevant customer needs, prioritizes initiatives and company investments, and establishes a clear action plan for success. 
  • Supports the creation of business proposals for new and existing opportunities. 
  • Plays a supporting role to the Sr. Account Manager in setting up new businesses; take responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new Export /Platform Integrators and MROs. 
  • Function as a point of contact and relationship owner for a defined set of customers, agencies, and surrounding ecosystem. 
  • Evangelize the use of Leonardo products and technologies to end users, Integrators, MROs, and other stakeholders. 
  • Build key accounts into strategic partners, and drive sustaining revenue by winning program business. 
  • Proactively manages customers’ satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction. 
  • Manages assigned customers’ transition from the Business Development group to Operations post award. 
  • Help define, drive, and communicate product strategy to internal Leonardo stakeholders in the US, UK, and Italy for products and features specific to the needs of the Export / Platform Integrator and MRO market segment

Skills/Qualifications

  • Organize and arrange specified records and files to keep track of financial transactions. 
  • Ability to travel as needed, domestically and internationally. 
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a US DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or 5 years equivalent training and experience. 
  • US Military experience a plus
